Our Silk-Spun rope was created to simulate both the strength and the softness of silk. We twist our Silk-Spun rope from a fiber especially manufactured for the outdoor market. This yarn has hundreds more filaments per inch than our standard rope, creating a denser, smoother result. The yarn is solution dyed for a long-lasting, fade-resistant rope. Silky smooth Silk-Spun has an unsurpassed weatherability and is mildew and mold resistant. Not content to merely improve the rope, we re-constructed our traditional style rope hammock to increase its comfort. The body of our Silk-Spun Premier hammock uses 50% more rope and is hand-woven with 50% more stitches than our standard rope hammock. This closer weave adds extra comfort and support.
